Privacy Policy
How Teqqed collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data.
Website submissions in our CRM
We also record presentation requests in Attio, our CRM, so we can manage the inquiry and its confirmation status. We match contacts by email address and keep the submitted company, language, request time and optional follow-up preference in a submission note. This does not subscribe you to our newsletter.
Resource downloads and optional follow-up emails
When you request our real estate presentation, we save your email address, company, chosen language, request time, confirmation and delivery status, and optional follow-up preference. We send an email to confirm your address, followed by the presentation and a link to schedule a consult. Request records and confirmation tokens are stored privately with Vercel; contacts and email delivery are managed with Resend.
If you select the optional follow-up checkbox and confirm your address, we send three short emails over nine days. You can unsubscribe using the link in each follow-up email or by contacting tim@teqqed.com. Downloading the presentation does not require subscribing to follow-up emails. We retain request and consent records to fulfil requests, prevent duplicate sends, and respect your preferences; contact us to request access or deletion.
Who we are and what this policy covers
Teqqed is responsible for the personal data described in this policy when we determine why and how it is processed. This policy covers our website, inquiries, newsletter, client relationships, recruitment conversations, and related business activities.
For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@teqqed.com. If a signed client agreement identifies another entity or allocates data-protection roles differently, that agreement applies to the relevant processing.
Personal data we collect
We may collect identifiers and contact details such as your name, email address, telephone number, company, role, and social profile; communications and meeting information; proposal, contract, billing, and transaction information; newsletter preferences; and information you choose to provide in forms or project materials.
When you use the website, technical information may be generated, including IP address, device and browser information, referral source, pages viewed, timestamps, approximate region, and security logs. We do not intentionally collect special-category data through the public website and ask you not to submit it unless necessary and agreed.
Where data comes from
We receive data directly from you, from colleagues or organizations you represent, through our website and communication tools, and from public professional sources such as company websites and professional networks. We may also receive relevant information from referral partners, service providers, and systems a client authorizes us to access.
Why we use personal data
We use personal data to respond to inquiries; assess fit; prepare proposals; enter into and perform agreements; manage projects, accounts, support, and payments; provide requested resources; send newsletters or relevant business communications; maintain relationships; improve our services and website; protect our systems; prevent misuse; comply with law; and establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use personal data for solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects unless we explain the process and provide the safeguards required by law.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on one or more legal bases: taking steps at your request before a contract and performing a contract; complying with legal obligations; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and promoting our business and maintaining professional relationships; and consent where required, including for certain marketing or non-essential cookies.
When we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on your rights. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing, and you may object to direct marketing at any time.
International transfers
Some providers or collaborators may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we use a lawful transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or another permitted safeguard, together with supplementary measures where appropriate. You may contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including service delivery, relationship management, security, dispute resolution, and legal, tax, and accounting requirements.
Typical periods vary by context: unsuccessful inquiries are generally reviewed for deletion after two years; newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or the list becomes inactive; client and transaction records may be retained for seven years or longer where legally required; and security logs are generally kept for a shorter operational period. We may retain limited information where necessary to record an opt-out or protect legal rights.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, appropriate authentication, limited permissions, trusted infrastructure, backups, and contractual safeguards. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe data connected with Teqqed has been compromised.
Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or information about processing; object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing; and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority where you live or work.
To exercise a right, email hello@teqqed.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain a record of the request. Rights can be limited where an exemption applies or where data must be retained by law.
Children
Our website and services are intended for business users and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the website. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes may be communicated through the website or directly where appropriate.
