A platform with a sense of place
Fryslân has a rich network of companies, organizations, and local initiatives. Finding them should not depend on already knowing their names. We built Fryslân.club to bring that network into view, with one place to discover who is active in the region, what they do, and where to find them.
The platform is exclusively for organizations based in Fryslân. That focus is the product’s foundation: a useful regional directory, shaped around the people and places it represents.
Local relevance, without the noise
Local businesses can be difficult to discover beyond a familiar circle. Their information is spread across individual websites, social channels, and broad directories that give little sense of the region as a whole.
Our challenge was to make discovery simple for visitors while giving each organization a clear place to introduce itself. The experience needed to feel distinctly Frisian without letting the identity get in the way of finding useful information.
A clear identity. A connected region.
A confident green palette, oversized typography, and a restrained layout give Fryslân.club an unmistakable presence. The interface keeps the emphasis on the organizations themselves, with straightforward profiles and clear routes into locations and categories.
The map adds another way to explore. Visitors can see businesses across Fryslân and open their profiles directly from a location. It turns a collection of listings into a view of the region, from Heerenveen to the Wadden Islands.
Open for the region
Fryslân.club is live and registrations are open to Frisian companies, organizations, and initiatives. New profiles are reviewed before publication to keep the directory relevant to the region it serves.
The result is a shared digital starting point for local discovery. We continue developing the platform with a simple aim: make the people and organizations contributing to Fryslân easier to find and connect with.
